I started this section mainly to prevent confusion with the myLANsite release announcements on freshmeat.net

It would be far too complex to add a separate project for every component on freshmeat. Even just having separate branches would not work properly for me. Problem is: If I update one component, most likely, another one will be updated as well. And I cannot have three new releases on fm.net in one go - this won't work.

Therefore, I do all announcements in the myLANsite Project in the "Mambo" branch on fm.net. Every time I made a major update, I make one Release Announcement (RA). This section on the website explains, which Release Announcement on fm.net referrs to what component version (what has been updated since the previous announcement).
