A new version of the seatmap component (2.5.1) has just been released! This new version brings you the long-awaited feature of allowing your users to permanently occupy one seat per ticket they purchased. Subscribers can access this version from their My Details page, everybody else can purchase it from the Repository. Previously, a user would first have to give each ticket to a friend (via code) and they would then occupy a seat themselves. Now, a user can buy 10 tickets, pay via PayPal, and then immediately occupy a seat for himself and nine further seats with each of his tickets. If the user then gives a ticket to a friend via code, this friend will automatically be seated on the place associated with the ticket. Obviously, this person can then release this seat and chose another one if he so pleases. Your visitors will now also see a list of all their purchased and paid-for tickets on the seatmap view, so they get a constant reminder about how many tickets they hold, how many they have already given away and how many seats they can still choose. IMPORTANT: You have to upgrade to com_mls_events 2.5.4 for this new version to work as important changes have been made to the event classes! As a teaser, here two screen shots to display the new ticket-overview box and the new "Occupy for a friend" option with the ticket selection for seats:
