I am pleased to announce the release of com_mls_events version 2.5.3. As always, this update comes for free to all subscribers and brings you the following features and changes. Probably most important is the change in how available seats for the event are calculated and that the Sign Up option will now automatically be disabled once the event is full.

Subscribers can access this version from their My Details page, everybody else can purchase it from the Repository.

UPGRADING: Upgrading works in the same way as always:

1. Back up your mls_events.config.php (database-based configuration will come in the next version to make sure you never have to back up your old config by hand again!)
2. Uninstall the events component (all data will be retained)
3. Install the new events component

• Option to disable "sign up and pay later" selection per event
• Better calculation of free spaces - counting tickets and not just participants
• Display "Event full" message instead of signup link if event if full
• Don't allow any more bookings if event is full
• Don't allow a user to buy more tickets than there are available
• Display notice in the back end "edit event" screen to remind you how many seats you created (if you are using the seatmap component) so make sure your Maximum Participants Number matches the number of seats available
• Display ticket price in frontend event list
• Refactored parts of events class to make it much more consistent
• Red warning message in back end if an event hasn't got any tickets assigned
