I have been watching my LAN status box and nothing has been changing, except for 'pending' status. A guy messaged me on IRC saying he just paid for his ticket, but had some questions. I was like you paid? uhm, no? when I logged into my paypal account, sure enough there was his money, plus some from a few others. yet its not marking the users as paid? any chance i could get you to help me configure/troubleshoot this? i'll be online til about 9pm EST tonight and back on tomorrow morning at around 4-5am EST. I'd greatly appreciate it. Actually, I'll just assign your account as a admin, if you could check it out I would appreciate it sooo much!

Did you configure the PayPal IPN url within your paypal account?

Did you set the paypal website within the paypal config in mylansite to www.paypal.com? it might still be set to www.sandbox.paypal.com.
Did you configure the correct account in my config?

What was your URL again?

www.dc-lan.com is my url

Enable PayPal IPN - yes
IPN URL www.dc-lan.com/index.php?option=com_mls_paypal&task=ipn
Enable payment for events - yes
payment for packages - yes
paypal validation url - www.paypal.com


also, in my paypal account IPN is enabled and pointed to the IPN url listed above

okay, I came home last night and had 3 payments needing action, 2 of them had

Statuscode: 5: Recipient email address incorrect
Statustext: 5: Recipient email address incorrect

It was kind of odd, one of the two wasn't even listed on the participants list, and I finally realized that he hadn't enrolled for the event yet, but had just clicked my 'purchase ticket' link. I wasn't using the checklist before, I had links to enroll/pay/get seat hard coded so I'm assuming he skipped the enroll step.(I've since changed to the checklist) As for the other user, he was enrolled and everything seemed fine. Just wasn't marked as paid. Now, recipient email address, I'm assuming that is the paypal recipient? If this is true, I've checked the email address and it's obviously correct, I did recieve the money from both users. Any ideas?

The other says
2: Transaction not verified.
There is no username/email/package type or anything listed for it. The only information it has in the com_paypal list is the time the transaction was submited. There is no additional transaction in paypal for this either. I'm at a loss on this one.

edit : also, is there a way i can make the paypal form insert the customers username from the website, i've had a few who've used i'm assuming their parents paypal account, so it shows in paypal as a different email name than the account in joomla.<br><br>Post edited by: wonderbra, at: 2006/06/10 18:07

Not sure why this is happening, but I've gotten a few (probably a total of 5 different cases) emails so far saying the following: These have all happened on individual occassions, on different ID's. Any ideas?

It might well happen, that a transaction is marked as &quot;UNVERIFIED&quot;. This does not come from mylansite, this comes from PayPal. PayPal may flag a transaction as UNVERIFIED if it is not completed yet. For example if somebody uses the bank account as direct source, it can take a few days for the cash to clear. Therefore this. I catch this exception and do _not_ mark the user as paid.
You will have to go and check your PayPal account to see when the money has cleared and after that, set the user to &quot;paid&quot;.

But I would not know why you get the &quot;5: Recipient email address incorrect&quot;. I might send you a debug file which you have to load and wait for a few transactions so I get some more logs. I'll get back to you on this one.
