After I pick my seat, I am sent to this address, the page is blank.

Again. Set the error reporting level to highest (can be done in the Joomla configuration) so you can see the actual error. Once you have an error message, paste it here and I will be able to help.

I did what you said but no dice.

So I re uploaded mls_seatmap.config.php and all is working now!

Hmmm, this is odd.
I'm now able to load it now, though all i get is the following tabs:

* Rooms
* Seats
* Elements
* Element Categories
* Configuration

I'm not sure what 'fixed' it, i've reverted my snapshot and re-installed it from scratch a few times, played with a few other things too so I'm not quite sure whats done it.

I'm guessing its relying on the Events module which is installed but having the same issue (blank screen)
I've been trying to figure out how to turn higher error logging on, will look it up when i get back in a few hours.

Yeah, this happens when there is already a same named component installed or part of it.. What you can do is either upload the missing files manually by FTP in the component map.. or delete the incomplete component map and retry the install of the component in joomla.

Please note there are two places..
/var/www/html/administrator/components/com_mls_seatmap"
/var/www/html/components/com_mls_seatmap"
