is it currently possible in the assign names function to have the seats decrementing instead of incrementing?

ie:

a row of seats from 1/1 to 1/24 (vertically) have seat A24 be at 1/1 and seat A1 be at 1/24 (without manually doing all the seating or having to do each row individually?

Yes, do the following

Start number: 1 / Increment: Vertical / Reset on every: 1 Col

Prefix: Your letter here / Increment: On each Col

Select the tables using the Assign Names tool and hit Generate.

edit: after reading your post closely, I think I misunderstood it. Sorry.

You are correct if I wanted 1-24 numbered from top down, I want 24-1 (to match an existing layout).

Thanks for trying though!

Guys, if you want a new feature, I created the Feature Requests forum now.

Something like being able to assign names in descending order would be a perfect example for a small feature which I can quite quickly integrate.
