A friend of mine, for some strange reason, won't use anything else than Internet Explorer. I was showing him the new site and talked him through the registration in Joomla and then the registration for the LAN event.

When he was presented the payment choices, he clicked the appropriate one, payment in the door, and clicked "Next". He was presented with a popup that said he had to make a selection. He had already done that and tried another choice just for the heck of it. Once again he was given this popup.

I tried in Internet Explorer too, and was presented the same box as him.

I use Safari (I'm a Mac guy anyway..), and I believe it would function the same way in Firefox and Opera too. But Internet Explorer is a no go.


Just wanted to put it out there and see if anyone else has similar experiences.

There was an issue with this selection back in the previous version. I've fixed this for 2.5.0.
I just tested it again on demo.mylansite.org with IE7 and it works ok for me.

Please don't tell me he is on IE6, right?

I should've mentioned it. It's IE 8. I'm running the latest version, 2.5.1..

I can look at this tonight on IE8, only got IE7 here.

That worked perfectly. Hmm wonder what's going on here then.

Log in at www.rennebulan.org using "test1/test1". Go to "Påmelding" and "Sign up", and then "Jeg betaler ved ankomst".. As you can see I'm not done with the translations yet.

Hrm. It fails for me in IE7 too. It must have something to do with your template.

To troubleshoot, open up the mls_events.html.php file, locate line 675:


Change that 'hidden' to a 'text'. This field should change when you select one of the options.

Changing it to "text" didn't help. The field does not change.

Can you please put the change in again so I can take a look?

Ok, up and running with "text" again now.

I f*cking hate debugging JavaScript with Internet explorer :-S

Anyway, I now see it not working, but cannot understand why. I will have to play with that later tonight.
Definitely related to your template (it's the only think which makes sense). If you have the time, switch to another template to quickly test.
