is their a way to not have a coupon be removed after 1 use or can i mass copy a coupon? or can i bypass the entire payment system so that teams can register on the tournament without registering to the event

In the config for the tournament component you can specify whether users need to have paid for the event to be allowed to register for tournaments. You can set this to "no", but users do still have to be a registered participant for the event your tournament is associated with.

If you want to use this component for online tournaments you might be better off waiting a little while. I am soon to release a new overhauled 1.5 Native version of the tournaments component with many improvements which is much better suited for online tournaments (because it does no longer rely on com_mls_events).
