Welcome to the new myLANsite Website!

I thought, the old website ran long enough. And there were quite a few things about it that I did not like. First of all, the template was based on another template (rhuk_planetfall) and the Style-Sheet had a high number of entries in it of which I did not even know what they were for. And there were also a lot of components installed which I did not use anymore. Or I just did never upgrade.

I have now created a totally new stylesheet from scratch. I cost me quite some reading, but I though I go ahead and be a good example for all of you guys to show the flexibility of Joomla! I also replaced ReMository with DocMan. DocMan has a more active development team and they will stick to Joomla! in future as well. I also upgraded Simpleboard to the first Joomlaboard version. An upgrade there was really due! I have to say, I do really like it this time. It looks much nicer and cleaner as the previous template.

As before, you can directly see all the latest versions of the Components and Modules on the right. But I made it even easier for you to see, if something is new. You'll see when I release new versions of all the other components as well. The Xaneon Extensions are still doing an absolutely great job in tidying up the URLs.

I also restructured the Forum. Unfortunately, I had to drop all the previous posts but will provide a read-only link to the old Forum so you can still search and browse through the old posts.

I remove the Bugtracker for now. I have to find another good Component for this, or will probably solely use the Tracker on the Joomforge (http://developer.joomla.org). So for now, you will have to send me an email if you have feature requests or found/fixed a bug.

The Articles section has been restructured as well. I would like this to be a more dynamic section. So, whever you wrote something about myLANsite or Joomla! of which you think, others might benefit as well, let me know and I can post it to this section for you.

One thing that stayed the same, is the most important thing about this whole thing. It is a little button on the right which you can see, when you are on the Home-Page - let's call him 'Butty'. Butty is sometimes quite lonely, and likes it, if people click on his belly. It might cost you some money to make Butty happy, but his happiness might then eventually spread over to me and encourage me to do even more for you people out there, running all your events with some of the coolest LanParty tools ever seen!

May I again at this point mention, how important it is for me to get feedback. I moved all the Polls from the old website over here as well and they are still open for you. I received around 7 answers to all the questions so far, which is next to nothing and does not even give me the slightest clue, of what you guys would like to see from me in the future!
