Hi
First of all, I _really_ do recommend using Fireboard. Using bridge-component is just too much of a hassle and Fireboard is pretty neat.
If however you are using a bridge component, you could just put code in your bridge component to add users to the jos_mls_events_participants table every time a new user signs up.
Just have a quick look at the myLANsite DB Schema and you should find what you're looking for fairly quickly.
