1) How is PHPBB or VB integration? Are there ever any conflicting issues when updating PHPBB, VB or mylansite?

4) Is it possible for the sign-up list to be displayed on the front page? Can the appearance of the sign-up list customizable depending on what page it is displayed on?

5) Does security rely on mylansite updates or Joomla? If mylanesite decides to stop making updates will that effect Joomla?

Good questions.

1.) myLANsite does not "integrate" with any forum components. But I would advise you to use fireboard rather than phpbb via a bridge component. Bridge components are undstable and tend to break if you upgrade either side of the bridge... imho

2.) Joomla has a built-in poll component, there are loads more at http://extensions.joomla.org

3.) Again, check the joola extensions page for galleries. There are no incompatibilities

4.) You mean the list of event-participants? This is only displayed on the "participants" page of the events component. You can add and remove columns, and change the order of the columns on that page

5.) Not too sure what you mean.. but:
If joomla release a security update, you should install it. If it is a minor update, it should not break myLANsite. If somebody finds a security issue in myLANsite, email me and I will fix it. myLANsite does not run on the upcoming 1.5 release.

Since it is up to Release Candidate 3 it seem to be ready for work in close a time.

I am going to go to make a new web site, until now using ikonboard with Portal addon. So if I install and switch to Joomla I would prefer 1.5. Until now I am just Beta testing and thinking which modules to take, yours is fix on start!!
