User priviliges for changing participant info? 1 Year, 9 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi,

I just installed MyLansite and all the necesary modules and started to set-up my first LAN party in it.

I was wondering though.
What kind of user (priviliges) can change the info of participants (paid/ not paid)? Do you have to log in as administrator or is there a way a publisher or so can also change these settings?

The administration of the participants of our lan will be done by someone else and this person is not an administrator (or does not have to have all the rights as admin).

Can somebody help me on this?

Thx!
dBaser

To be able to login to the joomla backend the userlevel must at least be "manager". "Publishers" are not allowed to log on to the backend.

Being a manager should be enough to do everything within mylansite. And the good thing is that a "Manager" cannot install/uninstall components, change config, templates and so on..

Thx for de reply...

I tried using a manager profile but a manager cannot access components... Minimum level is administrator i guess.

You can make a link to it on the dashboard. Just create a new administrator module and place it in "cpanel" (I think) and link to "index2.php?option=com_mls_events&task=participants".. that will do.
