We are helping an lan-community to develop a new site and they have asked us if there is a possibility to modify or some other way to aloow one person to reserve let say 5 participants and assign them seats?

If the other 5 guys are already registered on the site and enroled into the event, another user can go and reserve a seat for them.

But he cannot create additional user account (well, he can by just logging out, create new user, log out again, create new user, ...). And then he can enrol them into the event and can then go back and under his user reserve a seat.

Problem is only: If you configure Joomla to require user verification via email link when they create an account, this will not quite work... unless user 1 create 5 users with all the same email address.
