What's the Time menu option for? 1 Year ago Karma: 0
Is the Time menu depreciated since there's a start and end time within the Event details?

And what formatting should i use to be sure i'm getting the date and time input correctly? As i'm in the US the date and time format typically vary from the rest of the world's usage.

I use MM/DD/YYYY and i've been using the 24-hour time format but i'm not sure my users are quite up to the translation. Can i use a 12-hour (am/pm) format?

Just a couple other quick questions...

Journey Description?? Is this intended to be directions to the location?

Parking Space?? Is this simply the number of parking slots available or just that parking is available or that it's metered or... well you get the idea.

Visitor's Information?? Is this intended to be a link to hotels/Motels, tourism departments, travel information or whether visitors/spectators are even allowed ??

Thanks for any help.<br><br>Post edited by: Vashnaar, at: 2007/09/20 20:33

Hi,

The &quot;Times&quot; option has been created because some people have asked me to include an option for people to sign up only for parts of the event. For example, a LAN which is Sat/Sun may also accept people which will come Sat only. So under &quot;Times&quot; you create the timeslots which you want to make bookable. This only makes sense together with the paypal option. There, you will create a new &quot;package&quot; for this specific time with it's own price.

For all date fields, it is best to enter them in SQL date format (YYYY-MM-DD). I know, I should include some popup calendars.. would make things easier.

About the event detail fields: These are just different freetext fields which you can use at your own convenience. They all acceppt raw html input if you like.

ah yeah.. if you do not like the labels for these fields, just edit the com_mls_events/lang/english.php file
