I hope you all have noticed that I have posted the new components which now all work on Joomla! 1.5. I have even already posted more updates since and have also completely re-vamped and updated the modules.

I didn't just bring back the old PayPal implementation - no - I brought you a completely flexible ticketing system which has never been  there before and something many of you have asked for. There is a very easy to follow step-by-step process for your users to purchase tickets. They can even buy a number of tickets and then hand them over to their friends (by issuing them a code).

Since I released the new components, I already registered 688 downloads which seems truly awesome!

More things you can look forward to are:

• Having a better look and feel in the backend (this has already started for com_mls_events and com_mls_seatmap)
• Routers for Search Engine Friendly urls (?option=com_mls_events&task=view&teamid=1 becomes /teams/SuperStars/) across all components
• Potentially integration with more payment providers (depending on your feedback)
• Numerous usability, performance and security improvements
• Step by step moving over to being 100% Joomla! 1.5 Native compliant (so you don't need the legacy plugin anymore)

I have spent many hours doing the work you are seeing here and will spend many more. I do take true enjoyment out of this work and appreciate all the feedback I am getting.

Yes, finally! I completed work on converting my (most important) components to Joomla! 1.5. Unfortunately, you still need to have the legacy plugin enabled for them to work. I did not want to make too many code changes to make them work on 1.5 because I am contemplating rewriting them to make proper use of the new MVC pattern in Joomla!.

So far, the Events, Teams, Tournaments and Seatmap components have been converted (they start with a version number of 2.x.x). The com_mls_lang class is no longer needed as I use Joomla!'s built in language system.

The modules have not yet been repackaged for use with Joomla! 1.5, but I have already figured out what needs to be done and hopefully will have this completed over the course of this weekend.

Here the most important bit: There is no integration with PayPal (yet).

I have not converted the current com_mls_paypal extension because I am bringing up a completely new Ticketing system which will be way more flexible than the old one used to be. I also want to make sure that I can easily integrate with other payment gateways.

At least, you can all now install the components on your Joomla! 1.5 sites and give them a proper test and also start building your websites.
